Travelling with our 4 month old we decided to stay in the apartment at Bab Al Qasr so we had some extra space and a kitchen hoping it would still be a 5 star hotel experience - it was not. The room was extremely dated and smelt of damp, the toiletries are budget at best and small things like shredded bath robes and lack of face cloths make the place feel cheap. The biggest issue was that in the very basically appointed kitchen they don’t give you anything to do the washing up - nor will housekeeping do it - which means you are paying top dollar and are expected to supply your own sponges, dishwashing detergent and tea towels. When we complained the manager on duty said that they don’t supply them as a matter of policy but that she would bring some personally at the start of her next shift - they never showed up… Ridiculous that they provide tea and coffee making facilities which are replenished each day but you can’t wash the mugs so they’re basically useless. If you get a good deal and you’re looking at 4 star hotels as alternatives this might be decent - but if you’re expecting a premium experience I’d steer clear.

Great lobby service from Anita - had a long wait between checkout and having to leave to the Airport. She was very attentive and cheerful. She made numerous calls to check whether I needed anything to eat or drink with genuine concern and smile - great ambassador for the hotel

I stayed in this hotel for 06 days, last week. I would like to say first of all, the place where the hotel is, for me, it´s the best in AD. I enjoyed the room, the amazing view ( 3204 and 3206 ), and the beach. The satff in the pool, need to be more friendly and well educated. The staff in the restaurant, breakfast and dinner, were amazing. They tryed to do everything they could to provide a great service to us, even they were so few. A special thanks to: Mr Mohammed; Mr Varun and Mr Shahid. They were amazing and always with a great smile. The beach area need more attention, due to the trash that were in the sand, and no one was there to clean it. As also the pool area: if you go there, I bet you see the trash, the bottles, the glasses in the floor, and no one pick it up. The food quality was good and fresh. I really enjoyed it. The front desk staff were polite and always with a smile. Overall, I really liked my stay there.

Tag "Review for the hotel: We are currently staying at this hotel with our 10-month-old daughter (Room 3105), unfortunately, our experiences have not been satisfactory so far. From the beginning, there were problems as we did not receive a baby cot despite being assured that we were on a priority list. It took multiple requests and a day to finally get one. The cleanliness in the room also left much to be desired. We had to remind the staff several times to clean the mirror. The pool was overcrowded, and accessing the beach was cumbersome with a stroller, as it could only be reached via a dirty and smelly service elevator. Additionally, there is a huge tent blocking the view, and unfortunately, there was no mention of this during the booking. Despite booking half board, we had to skip breakfast due to overcrowding and dine outside. At dinner, we were politely informed that coffee or tea would be charged extra. Non-alcoholic beer was also unavailable. The cleanliness was acceptable, but due to poor service, we would not book this hotel again. The location was okay, but the outdoor area was too small for the number of guests. We still have 4 days left and look forward to checking out."

The main issue is we paid a premium for an incredibly disappointing and unsatisfactory experience. Room facilities as cosmetics and cleaners very cheap for the hotel reputation, no fresh egges on the breakfast, over all it was very bad experiens
